Webinar - Medicaid Eligibility & Asset Protection, Funding LTC

In response to Covid19, FSP Hartford will continue to provide quality, low cost educational offerings as online webinars with CE for CT State Insurance and CFP.    Once you register, you will receive a direct email from gotowebinar with call in and log in information.  As we get closer to the event, we will also send you tips and instructions about webinar rules.        
FSP Hartford is committed to a membership with high ethical standards and advanced education uniquely qualifying them to assist families, business owners and professionals in achieving their financial goals .     We typically offer 9 programs through our fiscal year of July 1 - June 30th.   Programs may carry CFP and CT State Insurance credits (see approved CE below).

Medicaid Eligibility and Asset Protection Strategies in Connecticut

Medicaid rules are complicated and change regularly. In this session, learn about Medicaid as it applies to the state of Connecticut’s senior population, including a general overview of Medicaid rules and the application process. Learn how different techniques can be used to help your clients protect some of their assets. Tools discussed will be an irrevocable trust and a Single Premium Immediate Annuity (SPIA) which is commonly used in an unforeseen crisis situation.

Long Term Care - A Senior Living Perspective

Learn how senior living can be a great part of long term care planning. In this session, you will learn the differences between independent living, assisted living, memory care and continuing care retirement centers. How options can differ even within the same senior living type- and the questions you and your clients should be asking when it comes to determining the right SENIOR living option. Ways senior living is commonly funded will be discussed. Aging in place will also be discussed.
